Greener, Cleaner, Better
Mammoth North Solar is a 480 MWdc project located in Monterey, Indiana. The project utilizes Trina 540W modules, Sungrow 3600 inverters, Nextracker single axis trackers, and a 345kV substation. Mammoth North spreads across 4,500 acres of land in northwest Indiana, making it one of the largest solar projects in the United States. The Mammoth North project in its entirety is expected to generate 1.3 GW of clean energy to power approximately 275,000 households annually. The project was named “Mammoth” due to the discovery of ancient mammoth bones in the fields where the project was built, along with the large size and scope of the project.
